Greenwich Islamic Centre (Woolwich Mosque), once a small prayer group in the 1970s, is now one of London’s largest mosques. Serving the growing Muslim communities of Greenwich, Bexley, and Lewisham, it urgently needs support to complete its construction to meet the expanding needs of worshippers.

About Islamic Marriage (Nikah)
The Islamic marriage ceremony (Nikah) is officiated by an appointed Imam at Woolwich mosque, and couples will receive an official certificate confirming their marriage under Islamic law. However, it’s important to note that an Islamic Nikah is not legally recognized in British law, so couples are advised to register their marriage to ensure full legal rights.
